H. Alan Mooney, P.E., President
In 1974, Alan Mooney purchased a license from Arthur Tauscher and has operated that business through the present. CRITERIUM - Mooney Engineers provides consulting services similar to the consulting engineering services franchisees provide. On June 1, 1988, he acquired Coast to Coast Engineering Services. Since the franchisor's incorporation in Maine on July 19, 1989, Mr. Mooney has been the President, Treasurer, and Director of Criterium Engineers. Mr. Mooney is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, and South Carolina.

Peter Hollander Peter Emil Hollander, Executive Vice President
Peter Hollander's principal areas of responsibility are business management, training, marketing, and systems development. His employment with Criterium Engineers began in 1989 as Director of Operations. Beginning in 1976, he was engaged in energy consulting, first with The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia and later with Booz, Allen & Hamilton in Washington, D.C. From 1983 until 1989, Mr. Hollander was employed by Cornerstones, a diversified company engaged in software development for the building industry, utility consulting, construction, and education and training, first as Director of Professional Development and later as President.

Barbara H. Whiton, Director of Franchise Operations
Ms. Whiton joined Criterium Engineers in November 1988, after its acquisition by H. Alan Mooney. Since then, she has served as Manager of Communications with principal responsibility for franchisee communication and administration of insurance programs. In the early 80s, Ms. Whiton served as the administrative assistant to the developer of Village Green at Stowe in Stowe, Vermont, a resort condominium complex. In the late 80s, she served as the Administrative Assistant to the President and Vice President of Operations of RAM Management Company, a real estate development company. From September 1987 through October 1988, Ms. Whiton was Director of Property Management for Sugarloaf Homes, a subsidiary of The Dartmouth Company, Carabassett, Maine, providing property management to 17 condominium associations.

Lydia H. Atwood, Chief Financial Officer
Lydia Atwood's primary areas of responsibility are corporate financial management, franchise financial assistance and coaching, corporate human resources and benefits administration. Prior to joining Criterium Engineers in May 2004, Lydia was Director of Finance and Administration for a software development company in Southern Maine. Lydia has more than fifteen years of experience in the fields of finance and accounting, as well as experience in business consulting, contract management, human resources, and employee training. She has held positions at several New England companies, including Fidelity Investments, John Hancock Insurance, and Banknorth Massachusetts, formerly Warren Bank. Lydia holds an M.B.A. from Boston University and a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University.

Richard E. Tinsman, Director of Criterium Engineers - Quality Construction Program
Dick joined Criterium Engineers in 2005 to manage the national Quality Construction Program. Immediately prior, Dick was the Director of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative Green Buildings and Infrastructure Program, developing and implementing one of the nation’s best, state-wide high performance building programs. Prior to that, Dick was a senior officer in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, responsible for a variety of active duty missions including law enforcement; search and rescue; harbor defenses; and homeland security. Dick was Vice President of a mid-sized residential and commercial construction company with annual volume of $15 million and manager of environmental consulting and planning practices for engineering and architectural companies in Maine and Maryland. He has served as an elected municipal official in Maine and served on numerous town, state and national appointed boards and commissions. He currently serves as an Overseer to the Museum of Science in Boston, Massachusetts, as a member of its Facilities Committee, and as the Chairman of the Museum's Green Buildings Committee.

Ellie Schulz, Bookkeeper
Joined Criterium - Mooney Engineers in February 1990 as their receptionist and administrative assistant. Previously she had worked as office manager for Management Data Services, a payroll and microfilm service bureau and more recently as the bookkeeper for Archtellic, an architectural design firm in Portland. In August of 1994 she became a full time employee of Criterium Engineers working as the coordinator of relocation services. Throughout 1998 her responsibilities became more focused on the accounting aspects of Criterium Engineers and in January of 2002 became its bookkeeper.

Sara York, Bookkeeper
Sara joined Criterium Engineers in August of 2007. She takes care of the bookkeeping for the Quality Assurance program, as well as assisting Lydia Atwood with analysis work and other accounting tasks. Sara is currently in the process of acquiring her Accounting/Finance degree and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. Prior to joining Criterium Engineers she worked for one of the largest medical groups in the state of Maine. She also owned her own business for over eight years where she learned the ins and outs of the accounting practices needed to keep a business going.

Bill Albert, Director of Information Technology
Bill Albert joined Criterium Engineers in the spring of 2000 to manage the varied information's systems currently in place at Criterium. In addition, he supports all franchises with regards to company specific computer issues. Before coming to Criterium, Bill was enrolled as a full time student at the University of Maine. He received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems in May of 2002. Prior to this he was career Military, working as a P3 Orion Flight Engineer for 14 years. Retiring from the Navy after 21 years of honorable service in February of 1998.

Joseph Won, Systems Analyst/Developer
Joe joined Criterium Engineers in the spring of 2006 to create systems that managed data and improved efficiency. Prior to joining Criterium, he was a partner in a firm that offered software/network engineering services to small and medium-sized businesses. During this time, he provided technology consultation for companies in various markets and industries. He currently holds assorted Microsoft, Cisco and Comptia certifications.

Lana Lane, Desktop Support/Applications Specialist
Lana joined Criterium Engineers in the summer of 2009 to provide desktop support for internal staff as well as remote support for office owners and staff. Lana graduated from The University of Tampa in 2000 with a degree in Communication. Prior to joining Criterium, Lana worked as a helpdesk specialist for a bank in the Tampa Bay area of Florida.

Scott Belesca, Project Information Manager - Quality Construction Program
Scott Belesca joined Criterium Engineers in 2006 as Project Information Manager for the Criterium Engineers-Quality Construction Program. As Information Manager, Scott will organize and quantify the production data for the Program and he will serve as the facilitator for information transfer and management. Scott will also serve as a field representative and provide oversight to selected field personnel. Previously, he was a Project Superintendent for a Maine-based custom homebuilder. His professional experience includes construction management, commercial property management, and drafting/design. Scott also worked for Criterium-Mooney Engineers in 2000-2001, providing engineering office support. Scott graduated from Roger Williams University with a B.S. degree in Construction Management.

V. Campbell Grant, P.E., Chief Engineer
Cam has worked in a variety of technical and managerial capacities in the construction field for corporate facility owners, consultants, and contractors. He attended the University of Maine at Orono where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) in 1975. He has been licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Maine since 1980. Professional positions have included: Land Surveyor for property definition and residential development; Field Engineer & Foreman for general contractor on urban renewal projects; Design Engineer for consultant in public works & commercial site design; Resident Construction Engineer for environmental consultant for waste-water plants and interceptors; Facility Project Engineer for plastics plants and shipyard capital investments; Assistant Program Director for US Navy ship overhauls, Manager of Planning for design/fabrication/installation of custom paper-making machines, and, most recently before joining Criterium Engineers, Project Manager/Estimator for a commercial development general contractor. At Criterium Engineers, Cam is responsible for the review of all national accounts work and technical assistance to offices.

Susan Phillips
As Project Coordinator for National Accounts, Susan has more than fifteen years of diverse project management expertise, including event and media management, commercial real estate sales and residential construction/design consulting. She brings to her role an ability to view each project from multiple vantage points, which facilitates strong relationships inside Criterium and with her client partners.

Maura McDonough
Maura joined Criterium-Engineers in August 2007 to assist with Franchisee Support and with National Accounts. Maura attended the University of Southern Maine and has a wide range of Administrative experience. Prior to joining Criterium-Engineers, Maura worked as a Senior Level Processor/Closer for Stewart Title of Northern New England where she was responsible for all aspects of the real estate and mortgage process.

Catherine Knott, Executive Assistant
Cathy joined Criterium Engineers in April of 2005 as Executive Assistant to the President. Possessing nearly a decade of administrative experience, Cathy has been an Administrative Assistant at Banknorth, as well as Executive Assistant at a local software development company. In 1999, she graduated with Honors from New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire with a B.A. in Creative Writing and a double minor in Art History and Literature. She also spent a semester at Regent’s College in London, studying art history in The National Gallery and Tate Gallery. After graduation, she moved to the Central Coast of California, but Maine drew her back after only a few years.

Jo Ann Murphy
Jo Ann joined Criterium Engineers in September 2007 as the receptionist. Jo Ann's responsibilities include responding to telephone inquiries for both Criterium Engineers and Criterium-Mooney Engineers as well as assisting other departments with administrative tasks as needed. Prior to joining Criterium Engineers Jo Ann worked as a legal assistant for a small law firm. She also held the position of Administrative Secretary to the Sisters of Mercy Regional Community in Portland and has prior experience as Secretary to the Executive Director with the South Portland Housing Authority.
